I too find inspiration from music, but I have especially been inspired by "cinematic" music...scores that conjour up imagery from either the films they were composed for or imagery yet to be discovered. I suppose it's all about your state of mind and how you can resensitize your mind's eye. Cinematic music opens up a world of visual imagery for me. Looking at other photographers' work can be depressing, I agree (present company excluded of course). I'm going to check out Weston's Day Books from the library and see if it helps me as well...I've always been inspired by Weston's work. Good points indeed. It sure raises some feelings and why not, inspiration. Interesting point about looking to other photographers work when in a down mood.
