Only 1 in 6312 Will Have An Interest In This Message

After extensive research I have determined that only 1 in 6,312 people who follow my work will be able to attend my upcoming Studio Tour in Fort Collins, CO. However if you are one of the “1″ then you are invited.

On June 23rd and 24th my home and gallery will be open to the public. I’ll be exhibiting large pieces this year, a sort of ”large” retrospective of my work.

If you do live nearby, please come and meet me, pet my llamas, see my work and visit with other friends of black and white. In addition to exhibiting, I’ll also be demonstrating my processes and selling exhibition prints at a discount.

The Studio Tour is open from 10am to 5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

My home is in a delightful part of the county and you’ll enjoy the drive and surroundings. Please Google me or bring your GPS, as it is hard to find me the very first time! However if you do get lost (because you wouldn’t listen to your spouse and stop for directions) you may call the house at 970-229-9145.

Interested! Quite a way from Maine tho, and I don’t think I can get that weekend off! :) have a great day, maybe next time!

  • Ivan Makarov Says:

If I didn’t have a wedding on 23rd, and a vacation a week after, I’d fly in for that.

Give us a bit of a longer notice next time, Cole, and big fans like me will be there.

Best of luck Cole, what a fantastic idea

What a great idea. Too far to come (as I am in Canada) but wishing you the best of luck!

  • Mary Alston Says:

WOW!! I am one of the lucky ones. I live in Gold Hill outside Boulder, CO and look forward to driving to up to see your studio later this month. I hope I can find it. I also live in a place where people nearly always get lost trying to find my house.

I may not be close enough to come but I put your info on FB in 2 different art groups and on my PUBLIC wall. Maybe we can get that # up to more than 1 in 6312! Love your work Cole- wish I could see it in real life. Good luck and at least 1 is coming- you lucky girl, Mary!

It sounds like the High Park fire is near LaPorte. I hope it is controlled before it gets to your property. We were in the path of the Fourmile fire less than two years ago and it was very scary.

  • Cole Thompson Says:

Yes Mary, we are on the eastern edge of the fire and are packing in preparation for evacuation.

The fire started Saturday morning and is now up to 14,000 plus acres, 0% contained and the sheriff said there is no hope of containment.

So many have been evacuated and some have lost their homes. It is a terribly helpless feeling.

Thanks to all who have written to express concern and to offer help, and please forgive my slow responses as things are crazy right now.

  • Mary Alston Says:

I hope you will not have to evacuate but if you do, be sure that all of your windows and doors are tightly closed. Our neighbors lost their house (a stone structure) because the fire got in through a door that was left ajar and we had considerable smoke damage because we did not have time to close all of our windows.

Cole, too far from home but I hope you’ll be in Europe soon! Best Regards,
